About us
Monosuisse is one of the world's leading manufacturers of a wide range of synthetic monofilaments and multifilaments for industrial use. Our high-quality products are ideally suited for a variety of applications such as filtration and screen printing fabrics, conveyor belts, spacer fabrics, braids and narrow fabrics, as well as paper machine clothing (PMC) and more. Despite our continuous growth our principles have remained unchanged: Monosuisse stands not only for environmental friendliness and customer satisfaction but above all for quality that can be trusted.
Our history and the associated expertise date back to 1906. We are specialized in the manufacturing of precise, high-quality monofilaments from 16µm to 3.00 mm in diameter. Our production sites combine knowledge producing fine and very fine monofilaments made from different polymers with the experience and the cost-efficient production of coarse diameters. Furthermore, our product portfolio includes fine multifilaments for technical applications. Exchanging ideas with our customers, in-depth knowledge of the market, and our many years of experience help us to improve our existing portfolio and develop new and innovative products.

Products & Services
Braids
The Braided Hoses market can be split into two main divisions: Automotive (in which we will include any type of means of transportation, such as air, water and land) and Sanitary (including hoses for bathroom and kitchen sinks, showers etc.). This market is characterized by an innovative range of technically demanding products.
Spacer Fabrics
Spacer fabrics are the innovative replacement for foam filling or 3- dimensional structures for various applications. Such fabrics are used with great success in automotive applications, mattress production and many other areas. The new fabric style provides significantly better comfort, improved air flow and it is easier to recycle.
Hook & Loop
Monosuisse has found its niche for specialty applications mostly in (but not limited to) the automotive world within a market that is mainly characterized by large volumes of commodity yarns. The monofilaments usually make up the “hook” part of the fastening system or the “mushroom” shaped system. The main polymers used in this industry are PA 6.6 (mostly natural color) and PP (natural color and black).
Screen Printing
Manufacturers of high quality fabrics worldwide rely on the leading quality monofilaments from Monosuisse for a variety of screen printing applications. Ongoing extensive contact and cooperation with its customers enables Monosuisse to present and to further develop an extensive range of monofilaments for the full extent of screen printing applications. All of Monosuisse’s products are manufactured in state of the art facilities and under recognized quality assurance systems.
Filtration
Separation with a sieving or a filtration process is essential in today’s world. The success of the wide variety of filters in a number of different applications such as medicine, chemistry, process engineering and water purification depends to a large extent on the quality of the filter or sieve fabrics. Monosuisse provides this very diverse market segment with a complete product range in polymers, additives and diameters.
PMC
Monosuisse is a full yarn supplier for the paper machine clothing (PMC) industry. Our portfolio offers the whole diameter and profile range as well as all relevant polymers for forming fabrics, press felts, and dryer screens. Whether as plain or twisted monofilaments, our products serve the highest quality standards and are valued by our customers worldwide.
Conveyor Belt
Light conveyor belts are used in a wide variety of industries, from airport and agriculture, to distribution and electronics. They handle general conveying applications such as induction, transfer and check-out, as well as sorting, metering, inspection, packaging, and many others. All applications have the same requirement to high quality standards and a long service life.
Geotextile & Agriculture
Lightwight and durable products are used in a wide variety of industries, from geotextile and agriculture, to ropes, nets as well as for narrow fabrics. The product is primarily for outdoor use where durability and persistence are needed over time. All applications require high quality standards and a long service life whether underground, underwater or in nature.
Automotive others
Within the automotive industry, among the others, we find few other applications for high quality monofilaments. Chafer and seat belts can definitely be considered peculiar. Chafer Fabrics are specialty fabrics primarily made of PA6 and 6.6 monofilaments dipped in RFL (Resorcinol Formaldehyde Latex). Chafer is used to increase tire bead hardness, friction to the rim and protection of the tire bead. PET monofilaments used in seat belt applications are rigid yarns that provide good stiffness across the weft and high resiliency.
Medical
The medical market is a very demanding one, made of many different applications. Standards are high, and numerous restrictions apply. Monosuisse is an excellent partner to this market thanks to its flexibility, ability to customize, R&D, and all kinds of additional exceptional services offered. Regulatory affairs and a thorough selection of raw materials guarantee many compliances upon request. Production records are usually kept for longer time compared to standard products. Parnterships with customers are protected by NDAs.
Aeronautics, Filtration & MRG
Multifilaments come to the rescue when the required breaking strength is no match for the fineness, flexibility, foldability, elasticity, or permeability. This is why we offer an extended and always evolving range of specialty multifilament yarns in PA66, PVDF, PET, and other performance materials. Thanks to our long time expertise we tailor-make, develop and spin Multifilament yarns from 1.0 to 10 dpf for all kind of applications.
